I can’t emphasise this enough but Simple wins. Every day, all day. Simplicity wins in business, simplicity wins in trading, simplicity wins in life. And yet when we trade, it seems to me that there is a constant race to the most complex product or strategy.
Why is that? Well, I think it’s because complexity justifies high fees.
If I showed you a trick to make a lot of money but the trick was so easy, you’re likely to do 2 things. Firstly, you are unlikely to believe the information I’m giving you citing the reason “If it was that easy, why isn’t everybody doing it?”. Secondly, you would feel quite aggrieved spending money on this information.
Now, if I gave you the same information but in a complex way, so that it took you a few weeks, maybe even months to absorb and understand, and you made the SAME amount of money, you would feel happier with yourself. You would feel happier with me too because I didn’t rip you off.
But here’s the thing. I’ve traded complex and I’ve traded simple, and simple wins.
For me to get that message across is difficult, tiring, and sometimes with some people, near impossible. The mainstream propaganda machine has done too good a job in brainwashing those innocent souls, that they are beyond my help.
